WELLINGTON: There could be more bad news for the struggling Indian batsmen if the pitch predictions are true. The WestpacTrust Stadium pitch for Wednesday''s fifth One-day International will assist the bowlers early on, according to the curator.
"There will be a bit there with the new ball but I''m very happy with the pitch," turf manager Trevor Jackson said.
The bounce and pace would be on the "medium" side, he said. But Jackson is erring on the side of caution because he wants a slightly drier surface than normal to avoid excessive movement. The toss will then become crucial once again.
